You don’t.  Typically, we are very fast without a rush fee. 

 

However, there are days when we are overloaded with inquiries, so when we see a rush fee come in, it highlights that you are super interested. 

 

You get help when you’re in the planning headspace, avoid a ton of back and forth, and get your reservation finalized faster which frees up our customer service team to help other inquires.  It’s a win-win-win-win. 

Your big day is a big deal, which is why you get our 100% Arrival Guarantee:

 

If we break our streak of arriving to 99.6% of the parties we’re inviting for (except in the case of traffic or weather issues),  we will refund you in full, AND give you a free show to keep or give as a gift.

 

 

Our staff of 50 gives us flexibility & have done crazy things to visit 18,000 celebrations like:

 

~ Flying hundreds of miles to cover a sick performer

 

~Walking a mile in the rain in a mermaid tail when the road was closed.

 

We are notorious for ‘making it happen’.

But seriously, we know kids are into different stuff which is why we designed our activities to be flexible.  They adapt to any party size, age, and interest.  


We always have something else in our back pocket to keep the party going!

Business hours don’t apply when you need to contact us on the event weekend. Our magic is available ’round the clock.

 

Need to get a hold of us at 9pm the night before your event because of a location change?

 

Can’t get a hold of your Performer (because they might be performing at another event before yours) and have an urgent question?

 

You will get a special emergency phone number that is connected to us 24 hours a day.

 

We know you want to relax on the big day and we have the behind-the-scenes support to make sure that happens.

You will be meeting an employee of Happily Ever Laughter.  We never contract outside entertainers because we want full control over quality.

 

We carry liability insurance (just in case our magic is a bit too powerful!) and you can request a certificate if your location needs one.

 

We are also covered by a worker’s compensation policy, have background checks, and most of our Performers are CPR certified (you can request a certified Performer if you prefer).

 

Each employee was selected from the top 5% of graduates from the most extensive training program for children’s entertainers in North America.

That’s a ‘yep yep’. 🙂

 

Because our Performers are employees of Happily Ever Laughter (as opposed to independent contractors), we are in complete control of quality.

 

We also are in control and provide all of their training so every single employee is up to our high standards.

 

All of our costumes  and activity kits are made in house so we know every single item that goes out is picture perfect.

You can invite us anywhere because our entertainment is designed to be flexible.

 

We love to visit houses, apartments, parks, schools, offices, or even the beach!

 

We travel all over the Bay Area, (including Santa Cruz and Marin), Los Angeles, and Sacramento.

 

If you cancel, you will receive 50% of your package cost back. 

 

The remaining 50% cannot be applied to a new date unless you purchased Payment Protection.

If Payment Protection wasn’t purchased at that time, your reservation is 50% non-refundable (and cannot be applied to a new date).  Even if it rains. Even if someone falls ill. Even if you want to change the date of your event. Even if elephants come stampeding down the street.

We can take your request, but we might not be able to make it happen. 


Why?  To make sure that we reach every celebration we sometimes need to switch Performers around last minute due to illness, traffic etc.   

 

The good news is…that is how we have been able to attend 99% of the events that we have been invited to since we opened in 2006.

 

IMPORTANT: If this doesn’t make you feel comfortable, please don’t make a reservation because we would be so sad to let you down if we needed to switch Performers!
