Auditions

Hi!

Congratulations – we loved meeting you online and want to invite you to the next step of your journey to becoming a Happily Ever Laughter performer!  You are officially invited to audition in person 🙂 

 

We are hosting two audition locations (LA & Bay Area) at the moment.  Each audition has 3 parts – you must prepare to attend all three parts, but you may be cut early. Please pick the audition location you prefer below. 

Part One:  

 

You’ll meet your fellow applicants (don’t worry, this is not a competition.  If you seem like a good fit, we’ll hire you!) and play some improv games for 30-45 minutes.

 

Part One Date/Location Option A:

Saturday January 25th 2025 from 12pm – 1pm

Location: Los Angeles – 6644 Beeman Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91606

Part One Date/Location Option B:

Saturday February 8th 2025 from 12pm – 1pm

Location: Santa Cruz 116 Clearwater Court, Santa Cruz, CA 95065 – our headquarters

Part Two: 

 

If you make it through the improv games and seem like a good fit, you’ll be invited to stay for the 2nd part of the audition.  During part 2, you’ll work with some simple props (like easy balloon twisting shapes) and learn how we will train you to play with children in the Happily Ever Laughter style.  This way, you will better understand what it’s like to work here before you commit and begin training.

You’ll be told that day whether you made it through the first day of auditions, so you don’t have to wait.

 

Part Two Date/Location Option A:

Saturday January 25th 2025 from 1 – 5pm

Saturday February 8th 2025 from 1 – 5pm

Part Three: 

 

This is when you will attend a live, 60-minute show to see if you like the job.  During the show, stand near the back and observe.  You’ll see Faeries perform a typical show that you will learn how to perform.  It’s a lot of fun 🙂  Learn about how to see the real show here. 

 

Part Three Date/Location Option A:

Sunday January 26th 2025 from 1 – 2pm

Location: Ralph Foy Park at 3211 W Victory Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505

Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can walk to the show location with the Performer.

Important things to know:

 

Timing:

 

Please give yourself plenty of time to drive, park, and walk in.  We LOVE it when people are 20 minutes early. Please do not be late, but if you are late, text your audition team lead as early as possible.  We would rather know you’re stuck in traffic an hour before you’re late versus not hearing from you until 3 minutes before we are set to begin.

 

Communication is key. You will not be invited to the audition if you are late and have not called in advance.
